EagleMed 8 & SFD

The other night while I was driving around looking for something to photograph, I stumbled across an accident north-east of Stillwater.  The accident was bad enough that a helicopter was called in for one of the injured passengers.  After insuring with the firefighters in the area that I wasn't going to be in the way, I was able to position my vehicle for a few good shots.  Once the ambulance arrived and was parked, I knew where I could and couldn't go.  Here are a few of the images from that evening:

WW-CITD Globe with camera phone

I keep my camera phone set to it highest resolution and quality.  Being that I have a high capacity storage card, I am able to store a good number of images before needing to download to my home computer via bluetooth.

Here is a picture from my cellphone of the the Wes Watkins Center for International Trade Development Center globe that was taken during the day.af-aaa001

Note: Even if your cellphone has the ability to zoom, it would be best not to use it.

Photos from a friend

As mentioned a few days ago, within the mirror posting, that I have a friend that likes to take pictures while driving.  Here is the one I mentioned:

I guess one of the lessons learned from this picture would be to keep your windows as clean as possible.  ô¿~

And here are a couple of 'bonus pictures" that she sent me as well:

Fun angle to try

Don't forget that you can use a mirror for your images:

This isn't the best image I could do, but it was just a quick shot.  I'll play with this more in the future.

I have one friend that likes to take pictures while driving as well.  She was telling me about one shot she took facing the front of her car that captured the moon, while her rearview mirror had the rising sun in it.  If she gets that image to me and provided permission for me to share it, I will post it sometime!

the KICKER Building

The new KICKER building has to be one of the best looking buildings in Stillwater, if not this region of Oklahoma.  The design of it allows for great reflective light as the sun sets.  As I get more comfortable with my camera, I'm sure I will improve the quality of images on this blog.

Point & Shoot

Speed limit here is 25mph, so I am well below that limit!

For the record: I did not bring the camera up to my eye when taking this image.  I simply held the camera up with one hand and quickly snapped a picture.  I was lucky that I got the "Your Speed" sign within the picture!

As I have already mentioned in the sidebar on the left:
If you decide to start a project like this, please insure for your safety and others when picking a photo subject and vehicle positioning!

Boone Pickens Stadium

What first day of photography on the OSU campus would be complete without capturing at least on picture of Boone Pickens Stadium?

WW-CITD Globe

As I headed home from the first day of "auto"-photography, I made sure to get a picture of the globe in front of the Wes Watkins Center for International Trade Development Center

OSU @ Sunset

I have a friend that has the ability to take sunset pictures with a camera phone that are absolutely amazing!  I tried a couple and some success on my first evening of attempts:

One thing that is never lacking from the OSU campus is a huge variety of vehicles to admire.  Here is one great example:

I really like how the background items blurred out on this close-up image of the bandana tied to the back of the bike!

OSU Sheep Barn

I was lucky enough to drive by the Sheep Barn when some sheep were near the roadside fence!
